Dear Friends,

2 of the women on death row were taken out of the Extreme Protection prison in Kadhimiya-Baghdad and were not returned a few days ago.
 
CNN's reporter Arwa Daemon has thanfully taken on the mission of interviewing the Minister of Justice apon this matter. The deputy of the Minister tried to deny the whole matter of excutions. OWFI has had previous encounters with this deputy who tried to dismiss our activists meeting with official in 2006 regarding rapes of female inmates.
 
Other NGOs and political organizations have followed into the steps of the campaign and published their dismay on the execution of Iraqi women. Iraqi televisions aired the statement today.
