Du’a Khalil Aswad, a sweet 17 year old girl from Iraqi Kurdistan was publicly
stoned to death in the town of Bashiqa before 1000 men. None of them did
anything to stop the stoning; on the contrary they rejoiced at the killing and
took footage of the carnage on their mobile phones.
Du’a wasn’t from a Muslim background, she was a Yazidi, but she feel in love
with a Muslim boy.

Eman Dakhiliya (female) was finally arrested in the late hours of Sunday night September 2\3 with the company of other traffickers and their serving pimps by an Iraqi security troop in central Baghdad. Eman's many houses in Al Battaween, Karrada, and Palestine street in central Baghdad are served by Amar Zaytuna’s gang who kidnap girls and force them to work in Eman’s brothels; otherwise they kill them or at least damage their faces beyond recognition. Tens of prostituted women and girls live in inhumane conditions, under continuous threat of beatings, but with abundance of alcohol, drugs and hallucination pills.

Our only hope is in a cultural and political revolution
The International Women’s Day celebration this year coincides with the tenth anniversary of the tragic attack of the US war-machine on millions of unsuspecting Iraqi civilians, causing one of the biggest human crises of modern times, under the pretext of liberating Iraq and the women and men of Iraq. It is noteworthy that the war was launched as a result of the biggest lie of pursuing weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. This is a lie which should be punishable with the verdict of having committed a war crime, and being held accountable for genocide of Iraqis during ten years and responsible for future mass deaths due to contamination of the environment, in addition to the people’s sufferings under political chaos which may take another decade to settle.
