On 07/11/2005 The Hosby Library in Stockholm organised a seminar for Rega Rauf OWFI activist and a prominent women’s rights veteran from Iraqi Kurdistan about the so called honour killings. In this seminar her book was also introduced in which she wrote about the killings of women in Kurdistan, titled (A voice from Kurdistan).

There were a large number of people who attended this seminar and the reasons, causes and solutions for honour killings were discussed. At the end Rega spoke about the role of the Swedish government in relation to this matter and that they should offer more support and protection to women who are facing threats of honour killings.

This seminar took two hours and concluded successfully.
