1- After a series of meetings with various women’s organisations in Stockholm a committee to organise 8 March was formed. This committee will be organising a public gathering in the centre of town on the 9^th of March at 3.00PM.

In this public gathering Rega Raouf representative of OWFI in Sweden and Halale Rafie coordinator of committee in defence of women’s rights in Iraq will speak.

The 8 March committee is formed by: Committee in defence of women’s rights in Iraq, Organisation of Women’s Freedom in Iraq- Sweden Branch, Enterfam, sisters of Africa organisation, the integration organisation of women of Eritrea, the women of the left party in Sweden, Sinus, and women’s emancipation organisation of Iran.

2- Both OWFI-Sweden branch and committee in defence of women’s rights in Iraq will take part in a demonstration which will be organised on 8 March by the left women groups which will start at 5.00PM in Slosen centre, towards Maria. OWFI representative will be giving a talk at this event.

3- On 8 March both OWFI-Sweden Branch and committee in defence of women’s rights in Iraq, will take part in a public gathering in Sergl Torget, which will start at 1.00-4.00PM. In this gathering Rega Rauf OWFI representative will be giving a talk.

4- On the 10^th March 2007 an event will be organised by both OWFI-Sweden Branch and committee in defence of women in Iraq in the Hosby, Treff hall in Stockholm to celebrate 8 March international women’s day.

5- On Tuesday 06/03/2007 Rega Rauf will betaking part in a panel which will be held

In parliament in Sweden about the situation in Iraq.  This panel is organised by the liberal party of Sweden.
